The Society of Electronics and Communication Engineers (SOECE) is the professional society of Electronics and Communication Department. The Society came into being ever since the inception of ECE Department in the Institute. SOECE aims at nurturing technical, cultural and managerial skills among the students by providing ample opportunities to bring their potential at surface.

Major events organised by SOECE

-Dhruv’08: The ultimate Aptitude test sponsored by IMS MBA Coaching Institute and NIIT , testing NITJ students'  aptitude.

Microcontroller Workshop: A Workshop for the NITJ Students and various Polytechnic Institutes

- Guest Lecture by Dr Anubha Gupta, NSIT, Delhi : A guest Lecture for the students of ECE on Wavelets.

- VLSI Workshop: A Workshop for the NITJ Students and various Polytechnic Institutes.

- ITRIX Workshop:  A Workshop in association with TRI Techno solutions, IIT Bombay.

-  SOECE Weekly Challenge: The Weekly challenge Involving puzzles and Codes to Decipher throughout the year.

-Hardware Design challenge:  Composing the circuit never saw such participation until this event in collaboration with ISTE.

-Art Mela 1.0

-EPL 1.0(ECE premier League): A special Cricket tournament involving all the ECE Students and our Faculty.

-PCB Workshop: A Workshop organized for the students of 2006 batch by Bikramjeet and Saurabh Puri.

-Introduction to VHDL: A seminar giving the details of VHDL held  in the techfest.
