Society of Progressive
Instrumentation and Control
Engineers (SPICE)
The objective of the Society of Progressive
Instrumentation and Control Engineers (SPICE) is to promote academic
activities of the concerned Discipline/Department and interdisciplinary
academic activities among the students and faculty.
The Society (SPICE) arranges talks on research and modern developments
in Engineering Science and Technology. It also provides an excellent forum
for teachers, students, planners, industry and field engineers to interact
on topics of common interest. The Society was constituted on 1.12.1994
Activities
Some of the activities of the Society are as under:
- Publication of the first issue of the Magazine for SPICE, on Nov.
1994.
- QUIZZICA : 96, A technical symposium involving games like,
Brainwave, Cricketica, Puzzle, Envelops was held on 1996.
- TECHNO-CROSS held on Nov. 1997.
- MOCK CAMPUS, In order to prepare the students for campus selection
procedures was organized on Feb. 1998.
- CARNIVAL 98
- Presentation on Biomedical Instrumentation by Dr. R.S. Khandpur,
Director CSIO, was held on April 2002.
- INDUSTRIAL TRIP, Visited Jagatjeet Industries, Hamira on Sept. 2000.
- BOURNE HOME, An Inter Batch Cultural Function was organized in the
month of Oct.2003.
- KITE FEST was held on Feb. 2003.
