(TIES)
All the students of the Department of
Industrial and Production Engineering are registered with "The Industrial Engineering
Society", (TIES).
Objectives
The objectives of TIES are:
- To organize progroammes for developing special skills for appearing
in the competitive examinations e.g. GATE, GRE etc.
- To organize technical workshops/symposia for the professional
development of the students.
- To invite experts from renowned Institutes and Industry for expert
lectures.
- The Society organized MOCK CAT 2003 on Oct 26, 2003 to help students
prepare for Combined Admission Test (CAT)
Activities
The activities ot the TIES are as follows:
- Interactions 1999, it was an inter college paper presentation
contest. More than hundred students from all over the country
participated and presented their papers.
- Mock CAT 2001, the aim of the event was to prepare the students and
test their ability for Combined Admission Test (CAT)
- Mock Campus 2002, it was an Inter Departmental event. The aim was to
judge the capability of the student for appearing in a campus interview.
The short coming of the students were pin-pointed and the ways to
overcome these were discussed.
- Mock CAT-2003, it was an Inter Departmental event around 130
students participated in it.
