UTKANSH is the Annual Cultural Festival of Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. Since its inception in 2005, this festival has been identified as a convergence of cultures and a confluence of best talents from across the country, showcasing the celebration of the spirit of healthy competition which we, at NIT Jalandhar, believe is the essence of true education. Over the years, "Utkansh" has given students a platform to express themselves in the forms of music, dramatics, dancing, photography and more. The fest promises participation from more than 300 colleges across the country encompassing hosts of institutions from various domains like engineering, medicine, management, fashion, pharmacy etc. Under the theme of National Integration and Environment Sustainability, the festival will commence with the first ever - THE UTKANSH'10 MARATHON as a prologue event 11 days before Utkansh'10, promoting the spirit of brotherhood, peace and environmental protection among the youths of India followed by a Blood Donation Camp a week later. The potpourri of quirky and creatively stimulating events from the 'StarNITe', 'Haasya Kavi Sammelan', 'FolkNITe', 'The Gatka Evening', 'The Red Carpet - Fashion Parade' to 'Diabolicate - The Devil Debate' promises a scintillating 72 hours of unadulterated edu-tainment from 18th to 21st March 2010.
