He received his PhD and Masters in Engineering degrees from Production & Industrial Engineering Department of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh. He has more than 10 years of industrial and teaching experience. He has authored and co-authored 8 book chapters, 22 paper in international journals, 18 papers in international conferences and 5 papers in national conferences.
