Afzal has over 10 years of teaching and research experience in the diverse field of Control Engineering. His areas of interest include Control Theory and Applications, Circuit Design, Model Order Reduction, Machine Learning, Optimization, Robotics and Renewable Energy. He is actively involved in various research projects funded by ISRO, TEQIP, etc. He has guided 8 M.Tech. students whereas 2 Ph.D. research scholars and 1 M.Tech. student are under process. He has published 48 research articles in reputed National/International journals and conferences including 17 research papers in SCI-indexed journals. He is a member of the Editorial Board and Guest Editor of numerous reputed Journals. He has organized two International conferences on recent trends in Electrical Engineering and Soft Computing in 2017 and 2018, respectively. |
