Institute has recently called innovative R&D proposals related to COVID-19 under TEQIP-III from the faculty. Total 12 projects have been approved, after due screening and presentations by the faculty, by the worthy Director amounting Rs 17 lacs.
The project includes following:
Development of Cost-effective COVID Medical Protective Face Shield using Additive Manufacturing, Ultra Violet Exposure box for Office File using LED's, Sanitizing capsules for human beings, Fabrication of Self-healing silver nanocomposite Antiviral films as a natural substitute for alcohol based sanitizers, To Develop Low Cost Sanitizer for Fruits, Vegetables and Packed Food items, Development of low cost Herbal Hand sanitizer, Development of Car wheel sanitization system, Design and development of Service robot for hospitals, Developments of Improved face Mask and PPE.
These proposals will be funded by the TEQIP III World Bank project and need to be completed by 31st August 2020. Dr. L. K. Awasthi, Director, NITJ appreciated the efforts of faculty for writing projects in quick time and help in fighting against COVID pandemic in India.
