TEQIP-III sponsored one week short term course titled “Emerging Fields in High Energy Physics” organised by department of physics NITJ completed on July 19th, 2019.
Summarising the course from top to bottom
📍Started with the introduction to particle physics and detectors by Gautam sir and Satyanarayana sir.
📍Opened the 2nd day by explaining the origin and evolution of universe and some advancement in Quantum mechanics + QFT (Sandeep sir and Manmohan sir)
📍3rd day goes with the tuts on transport models (Lokesh sir and Natasha mam) and LaTeX (Monika mam)
📍4th one entered with the basics of ROOT (nitish sir) and rest of the day continued and ended with statistically entertained physics ( by Manoj sir and Sushil sir)
📍Last day closing in with ROOT functionality and CMS detectors (by Rajiv sir and Suman mam).
Too much energetic that was,
To be true everyone was appreciating the level of coordination and management, also about the knowledge they get from it.
